Oh no, not at all. I’m a big fan of the “issue a new/amended one and throw the old one in a vault” system. I just think things like that should be recorded, same way adoptions and all other name changes are. If nothing else, it’ll make it a hell of a lot easier for future trans historians. One of the bigger issues now is never knowing if a particular person was trans or not because there aren’t records and reports from friends/family are almost always contradictory.
